Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVE TO CUSCO + CITY TOUR
Upon your arrival to Cusco, we will take you to the hotel and then join your guide for a briefing about the wonderful tour that awaits you. Today, begin the day with a tour of Cusco enjoy the sights of Cusco´s (the capital of the Incas). The indigenous and colonial heritages then spend the remainder of the day at leisure “by exploring Cusco’s nightlife or sampling some of its many typical restaurants.
HALF-DAY CITY TOUR
We will pick you up at 1:00PM from your hotel to start the tour and visiting the following places.
- The Koricancha: Temple of the sun.
- The Cathedral: Marvel of the religious art.
- Sacsayhuaman: Majestic place with impressive works in stone, some up to 120 tons.
- Q´enqo: (Labyrinth) a religious center dedicated to the adoration of the Earth.
- Puca Pucara: (reddish place) that was used as a military control center.
- Tambomachay: (Temple of the Water) a center of adoration and worship of water.
DAY 2: CUSCO – MARAS – MORAY – SALINERAS – CUSCO
Visiting Cusco is always a big adventure. Imagine crossing its beautiful high Andean landscapes and the iconic areas that the capital of the Incan Empire offers. With this tour you can do that and what is even more exciting you are doing that on an iron horse with four wheels; an ATV. Admire the big rural meadows that the great Sacred Valley offers and that the Inca once up on a time gazed over but with a dose of adrenaline that your body needs.
Get to know the Maras salt mines, a mine that has been in use since the Incan era and whose origin is still a mystery. After that we visit the archaeological place of Moray, referred to as a possible agricultural laboratory from the Incan era, here we can observe the unusual distribution of the platforms and the microclimates that resides in them. Dare to explore the Inca trail as a brave explorer and let the mysticism of Cusco dazzle you!
We pick you up from your hotel and they we begin our almost one hour long journey to our base in Cruzpata, after a short explication about how to use the ATVs we begin with a 10 minute practice before we begin our circuit. We will be driving about 2.30-3:00 hours off-road, here you will be able to see the daily life of the people that lives there as well as you can admire the facades of their buildings. We will pass through spectacular places where few people pass and where nature puts its best side to impress you in every moment, we can also observe the local agriculture close by. During the tour we can visit the archaeological site of Moray, also known as “the experimental center of the Incan agriculture”, and the Maras salt mine with their surprising salt pools that reveals their ancients secrets to us.
We will also be admiring indescribable landscapes that are filled with high mountains that to this day are sacred to our people. Among the highest peaks you will be able to see the 5.682 meters of the “Waqaq WIllka”, also known as Veronica, as well as the guardian of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, “Chicon” with its 5530 meters. You will also have a panoramic view of the Vilcanota mountain range before we return to our base where we take our transportation back to Cusco.
DAY 3: CUSCO – RAFTING IN SACRED VALLEY-AGUAS CALIENTES
At 7:00 a.m. we depart towards the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (North of Cusco) where our guide will give us a safety introduction before we start our adventure. We transport ourselves in a raft for about 2.5 hours in the class II, III, IV and V streams, depending on which route we choose. We can flow on class II in Huambutio, Class III in Ollantaytambo (from December to May), Class III in Quiquijana and class III, IV and V in Chuquicahuana, the last one is difficult and for our safety we use a kayak and an additional guide. After lunch we return to Ollantaytambo where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes.
DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU IN ITS GLORY – VIA FERRATA & ZIP LINE
You will have breakfast and then your Guide will pick you up from your hotel (5:40am). You will take the bus up to majestic Machu Picchu to catch the sunrise and then begin your walking tour with your guide (approximately 2 hours) after this you can explore the mysterious city by yourselves.
After enjoying a magic time in Machupicchu, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch later we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon your arrival to the train station, we will pick you up and take you to the Via Ferrata.
VIA FERRATA & ZIP LINE
This tour has been made to offer an amazing MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE for people without any experience. It will be an experience of a lifetime.It is a combo for both activities, you will climb 400 meters of via ferrata and descend the mountain using 6 zipwires (150 mts to 700 mts).
Back to Cusco
DAY 5: FULL DAY SACRED VALLEY TOUR
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am. This is a full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley visiting the colorful Indian market in Pisac where you will be able to appreciate the mixture of color and tradition and have an opportunity to test your bartering skills, interact with the local craftsmen and purchase their hand-made souvenirs. Pisac is located at the entrance of the Sacred Valley. The Valley is (31km)/ (19mi) from Cusco, and at an altitude of (2,970m)/ (9,700 ft.). Followed by Pisac is Urubamba where we have a delicious buffet lunch at Tunupa restaurant then we continue through to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied town on the American continent. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with their canals, have not changed much from the time of the Inca Empire. They evoke their ancestral inheritance and give you a feeling of what it would be like to live during this time. At the end, we will return to Cusco where we will spend the night.
DAY 6: DEPART CUSCO
After breakfast, we will take you back to the airport according your flight itinerary.

What to wear
Packing List
- Please limit your total jungle gear to the following essentials:
- BINOCULARS, A MUST!.
- Insect repellent
- Flashlight with spare bulb and batteries. (An additional flashlight is a better choice).
- A rain jacket (and pants for the rainy season) or poncho.
- Two loose long pants and two long-sleeved shirts.
- Quick-drying, tight-knitted combinations of cotton and polyester are preferred.
- T-shirts, as many as days you will spend in the trip.
- A pair of lightweight hiking boots.
- A pair of tennis shoes or sneakers.
- A light sweater or sweatshirt.
- A wide brim hat for sun and rain (which can be secured to your head so that a strong wind does not blow it off).
- Underwear, socks.
