BOOKING:

DEPOSIT:

In order to make a reservation with sun tour Peru you are required to make a $200 deposit for each trek and a $ 400 deposit for each deluxe package. The deposit should be paid via PayPal. “No extra Fees with SUN TOUR PERU”. All deposits are unfortunately non-refundable as they are used to secure your reservation (by purchasing permits, entrance tickets, etc.).

REMAINING BALANCE:

The remaining balance can be paid upon your arrival to Cusco and we ask that this be paid at least 36 hours prior to your tour. If you are not able to arrive in Cusco this far in advance of your trek, we ask that you notify your travel agent in advance to make arrangements. You can pay the remaining balance with Peruvian Soles, Dollars (or a combination), or VISA.

CANCELLATIONS FROM GUEST:

All primary deposits are unfortunately 100% non-refundable. However, the earlier you notify us of a cancellation, the better we can assist you. Please see the cancellation policy in each tour since every tour has a different types of permits and bookings.

If you cancel 8 weeks or more days before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit.

8 weeks to 4 weeks before departure: 60% of the total tour price is due.
4 weeks to 5 days before departure: 80% of the total tour price is due.
5 days to 36 hours: 90% of the total tour price is due.
36 hours or less before departure: 100% of the total price is due.

CANCELLATIONS FROM SUN TOUR PERU:

We reserve the right to cancel, modify any trip due to weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes or any circumstances beyond our control. Also, group tours require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. In such cases where minimum numbers are not met, we will refund all payments but will not be responsible for any additional expenses you may have incurred.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS:

Visitors are responsible for ensuring that they have valid visas and / or passports. Passports are required to be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of travel.

CHILDREN:

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Discounts may apply for children under the age of 12 to share a room with two other people. Please notify to your travel agent in advance if you require a baby carrier.

PRICES:

Prices are per person and based on sharing one tent between two people.

REFUNDS:

Refunds are processed to the credit card(s) used for the original payment.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:

All rooms are standard twin (two single beds) rooms with private facilities. Hotel upgrades are available. Please let us know in advance of any upgrade / special requests so we can arrange this for you.

TRANSFERS:

For your safety, comfort and convenience, we are the only company in Cusco that offers free transfers to and from the airport to your hotel on arrival and departure. Please send us your exact arrival time in advance.

TIPPING:

Tipping in Peru is completely voluntary. Tipping guidelines are provided with your final travel documents that are provided during your tour briefing, held the day before your tour.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

Embarking on an adventure, such as the tours we offer, may involve risk of illness or injury caused by forces of nature, animals, insects, and flora. By booking your trip, you acknowledge these risks and are applying to participate voluntarily.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made ninety days or more prior to departure date are refundable less 25%. If cancellations are made sixty to eighty-nine days before departure the deposit is refundable less 50%. Clients canceling thirty to fifty-nine days prior to departure will forfeit all deposits. All payments are not refundable if the trip is canceled less than thirty days before departure date.

We strongly recommend insurance for baggage loss, accident, emergency air rescue and trip cancellations. Trip cancellation insurance will reimburse you for non-recoverable air or land expenses should you cancel your trip due to personal or family illness, as well as cover any emergency evacuation expenses if you become ill during the trip.

Should you wish to give family and friends an emergency contact number, please have them call our offices: +51-974556141 They should be prepared with the name of the trip you are on, and its date of departure. As for short periods it may be difficult, expensive or even impossible to contact you (especially once you have left Cusco to travel to Manu itself), please be advised that this should only be used in cases of true emergency.

::Suggested traveler environmental guidelines

Leave only footprints and take away only memories and photographs. Do not take away “souvenirs” from historical sites and natural areas. Leave them for others to be enjoyed. Do not take feathers, seeds or souvenir fruits.

Respect the fragility of the environment and realize that unless all are willing to help in its preservation, unique and beautiful destinations will not be there for future generations.

To make your vacations more meaningful, take time beforehand to learn the customs, manners, and culture of the region being visited. While on a trip, learn more about the area; take time to talk with the people.
Try the native cuisine, support local skills and services. Be appreciative of the local culture.

Do not use products made from endangered species, such as ivory, tortoise shell, animal skin, and feathers.
Never litter. Leave tour surroundings cleaner than you found them.

Conditions and responsibility

Sun Tour Peru and/or their agents act only as agents for the passenger in regard to travel whether by car, boat or airplane and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity that may be caused either by reasons engaged in conveying the client or carrying out the arrangements of the tour. They can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine, or other causes. All such expenses will have to be borne by the passenger as tour rates provide arrangements only for the time stated.

sun tour peru strongly suggests to buy insurance to cover all the above, in addition to emergency evacuation, first aid, medical assistance, surgery, etc.

The right is reserved to accept or decline any person as a member of any tour.
Sun Tour Peru reserves the right to any unoccupied space on its buses, cars, boats and airplanes for its guides, staff and cargo.

No refund will be possible for any unused part of the tour. Baggage is at owner’s risk entirely. The prices for the tours are based on tariffs and exchange rate in effect after January of every year, and are subject to adjustment in the event of any change therein.
